Create building part standard

A building part standard is a collection of building parts that is created and maintained on account level. The standard can be used on projects.

When you want to make a collection of building parts available on projects as the company standard.

NTI CONNECT cloud platform > Account > Parts > Building part standards

1.    Click Add building part standard (plus)

2.   Enter the name of the building part standard in the field for ‘Name’

3.   Enter a description for the building part standard in the field for ‘Description’ (optional)

4.   Click the field for ‘Revit version’ and select a version from the dropdown list

5.   Click Save

6.   The building part standard has been added and will now appear in the list of building part standards.

NTI CONNECT Revit

1.   Click Upload building parts on the NTI CONNECT ribbon

2.   A dialog box appears

3.   Select the type(s) in the list

4.   Choose which standard the type(s) should be uploaded to (optional)

5.   In the field for ‘Upload comment’, enter a comment about the upload (optional)

6.   Click Upload.

Please note that the Revit project must be connected to the account prior to use of this function.

NTI CONNECT Revit

1. In the drawing area, select the family types to be updated (optional)

2. Click Upload building parts on the NTI CONNECT ribbon

3. Select the building parts to update

4. Type in an upload comment (optional)

5. Click OK

6. Click Close.

NTI CONNECT > Project > Parts > Settings

1.    Click the General tab

2.   Click Edit at the top bar

3.   Click at the field for ‘Standards’ in order to get a list of available standards

4.   Click the standard(s) to be added to the project

5.   Click Save at the top bar.

NTI CONNECT Revit

1.    Click Building part browser on the NTI CONNECT ribbon

2.   A window with the building part browser opens

3.   Filter by standards, by choosing from the dropdown list (optional)

4.   Enter text to search by (optional)

5.   Click the given element

6.   Click either Insert to use in Revit directly or click Load to load it into the project.

Please note that the Revit project must be saved before connecting the project to NTI CONNECT.
