The licens system of NTI CONNECT
is based on the concept of BYOS (Bring Your Own Subscription) and the term
‘Seats’, which means that a user is required to have been assigned a seat by an
account to be able to access a module as either ‘Contributor’ or
‘Administrator’.
Once assigned a seat, this can be used across accounts. In
other words, the user can be active on multiple accounts using the same seat. It
will appear clearly in the user interface whether the user has been assigned a
seat by the current account or another account.
Users can be assigned a seat as long as the account have free available seats. The account administrator can at anytime request more seats.
The user role ‘Viewer’ is free of charge and doesn’t require a seat which means that a user can always be added to a module as viewer.
The user role ‘No access’ can be used to disallow a user access to a module regardless that the user has been assigned a seat by another account.
Please note that when introducing
BYOS all existing users were assigned seats to modules by the account that they
were initially added to (we assume that this account is the users primary
account)
